The first foreign subsidiary was founded in South Africa in 1983, followed by the Polish subsidiary in 1991 and the first joint venture in China in 1996. Since 2002, SAIT Mining SAS in France has belonged to the company group. Sales and service subsidiaries were set up in Russia in 2003 and in Australia in 2005. Since 2006 Becker set up a Canadian branch.
